Univ. Michigan Naval Arch. & Marine Eng. 1975, expertise in vessel design & construction supervision, vessel technical & economic evaluation, project feasibility studies, and re-flagging of foreign vessels to U.S. Registry. He has been responsible for new construction projects of containerships, reefer vessels, bulk carriers, chemical carriers, and car carriers. Currently, Mr. Sengupta is the Project Sponsor within MDO for the design of the new Maritime Administration Sealift Vessels. His last project was as Project Manager for the new Construction of the OHANA Class Pasha LNG powered Container Vessels built to ABS Class in Keppel AmFels (now SEATRIUM AMFELS) in Texas. He is a member of the American Bureau of Shipping Technical Committee, and partner member of the Shipbuilders Council of America Security Council.
